On this day, we will visit Sonargaon near Dhaka. Sonargaon is a former capital of Bangladesh that is steeped in history and culture. The city was a center of trade and commerce. Today, it is a popular tourist destination and is home to many historic landmarks and cultural attractions. Some of the most notable sites include the Panam City ruins, the Folk Art and Crafts Museum, and the Goaldi Mosque. Visitors to Sonargaon can explore the city’s rich history and learn about the vibrant culture of Bangladesh.
After completing the tour in Sonargaon, we will return to your hotel.

Dhaka is a vibrant city of 2 million people. You will experience the lifestyle of the local people living in this city. We will visit vibrant old Dhaka and explore different photogenic spots. After the end of our old Dhaka excursion, we will return to your hotel in Dhaka.

In the morning, we will start our journey to Barishal by bus from Dhaka. We will check in to our hotel and take a rest. After that, we will make a city tour in Barishal. On this day, we will visit different places in the city and experience local life.

On this day, we will explore floating life in Barishal. We will visit different places in Barishal such as Pirojpur, Jhalokathi, Banaripara etc. Rivers have a massive influence on local people’s lives. We will make a boat tour to the different floating markets and try to experience the local lifestyle. Our key tourist destinations are Boithakata Floating Market and Vimruli Floating Guava Market. To get the best possible experience, we will start the tour very early in the morning.
After completing today’s tour, we will return to Dhaka by bus or any other suitable transport in the evening. Later, you will check into your hotel in Dhaka.

First day we did the Old Dhaka tour by rickshaw and by boat. It was a surreal experience for me and I enjoyed every seconds of it. The second day we went to Sonargaon Old Capital that was absolutely amazing! Then we headed back to Dhaka’s Sadarghar Port where we caught a ferry to Barishal. We stayed 1 night on a comfortable ferry which was for the first time for me ever. I really enjoyed it. Third day we went to a fish market first and then we hired a boat and visited the floating market where people were selling various things, such as timber, vegetables, fruits, rice, etc. We went back to Dhaka on a public bus in the late afternoon. During this tour Amin was with me all the time, he was a guide, a negotiator, a translator, a bodyguard (wasn’t needed :)) and the most important, a friend. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Bangladesh, he is funny and his English is superb. He made sure that I only had quality local food during our trip.
